I have a small thing for shoes… {dodge the lighting bolt} if you were to look inside my closet you’d understand! I have a three drawer, just for shoes, dresser beside the 4 shelf unit which is in front of the dozens strewned on the floor… and that doesn’t include what’s in the front hall closet or in that bin under the stairs! 🙂

What makes the love even more intense is the fact that I got each pair at a ubber discounted price. I do not pay full price for anything, rarely do I even pay 50% for anything! I like a good deal and the bigger the deal, the bigger the thrill for me. {I have splurged on a few… but they’re worth it!}

Here are a few of my fav’s:

pretty, but can’t wear them longer than an hour, 90% off at JC Penny’s end of season sale

my most comfy pair of high heels, wear them 12 hrs easy! $5 at a discount store in WV

My Ultimate FAV! my rubber cowboy boots!

My Dad bought me the rubber cowboy boots for my birthday last year, yes I said RUBBER! 🙂 We were in a great store in the heart of Knoxville, Tennessee – aptly called Bliss, a clothing store which is directly across the Market Square from their other great store, Bliss Home. If I could have taken one of their couches home or one of their great wall art sculptures… I would have!!

You can order your own Rain Boots by Beehive. I’m still trying to figure out how to open a store of them up here in Canada!! I LOVE MY BOOTS! Every day I wear them and every day someone stops me to compliment me on them. Thanks Daddio for buying them for me!

no, this is not a paid post, I just love my shoes! 🙂

***UPDATE***
I’m not quite the hoarder I may sound like.

I am the founder and president of a charitable group called, “The Cinderella Project” which is run out of International Help Ministries and my church, where we take gently loved and new shoes to other countries to share with their women, men and children who need them.

Since July of 2008 and each summer since, we have taken several hundred pairs of shoes into such countries as South Africa, Romania, Guyana and this upcoming Summer, Peru. Our motto is, “One shoe can change a life”.

Here are a couple previous posts that mention, “The Cinderella Project”
Mission Monday – Shoes to Guyana
A Cinderella Moment – Shoes to South Africa

  1. Oh, I don't have anywhere near that many but I do have a few favs…my number one pair being pink and purple strappy heeled sandals that I always get compliments on.
When I wear them, I can't help but feel happy 🙂

  2. Well, I own a pair of running shoes, a pair of flip flops and a pair of chunky style dress shoes…however, I loved my Dolly boots and will be purchasing a pair, maybe this addiction will rub off on me at some point? LOL!!

  3. Nice shoes Shannon!
I tend to wear a fave until it's useless, I'm bad at rotating shoes. I like the boots though, they have style!

  4. I love shoes, but I never buy them. Almost all of them are hand me downs from my sisters…lol 🙂

  5. Hey Shannon.

I've run across your blog several time, but this title really caught my eye… I work for the international nonprofit, Soles4Souls. In short, we collect excess shoes people never wear & give them to some of the 1.4 billion people around the world who don't own a pair. To date, we've been able to distribute over 13 million pairs of shoes.

I'm definitely not asking you to donate any of your favorite shoes, but I wanted to let you know that you could use those shoes that you never wear to change lives of women in Tanzania, Peru, Haiti, or India.

If you're interested in learning how, you can shoot me an email at jeremyc@giveshoes.org

    Thanks, Shannon!

  6. I love the rubber boots! I always say, "If you have to have an accessory, it might as well be fun!" 🙂 I'm like Tammi, though… I wear my shoes out!
