This is a little video a friend put together for her daughter. I think it’s amazing. The message is very clear… and it’s a great song by Pink! 🙂 No one should tell you what is or what isn’t pretty. As girls we buy so easily into the hype. We watch the stars on TV and look at the models in the magazines and think that’s perfection. It’s not.
Beauty if far from something you can simply define on the basis of one’s outward appearance and especially when it is compared to what the general public deems as “perfect”!
This is dedicated to all the girls out there but in particular it’s for my dear baby sister who is the most beautiful woman, mother, sister, friend I know! Life isn’t what it should be for you right now La La but believe in yourself like I do – you’re worth it!

Thank you so much for sharing that. It made me cry, seeing the women who have been brainwashed into thinking that skinnier means lovelier and more lovable.
My best friend no longer speaks to her family, or to the friends she had before anorexia. In making herself "perfect," she lost herself, and pushed away the people who love her most.
