So here it is, October already and I’m still working. The deal was once we were able to purchase and install the carpet in the house, I would be quitting. It seems once we decided to aim for the end of October to be done done — everything under the sun has tried to get in the way of that plan.

The transmission in our only vehicle is acting up and the mechanic says it will cost $1200 for a used one that only has a 30 day warranty on it… We just put $500 into new brakes and a transmission flush!

Emma went to the dentist and he wants to send her to see about braces. I don’t even want to figure out what that will cost!

Quinton went to the dentist today and he wants to send him to see the dental surgeon. Q has 3 front teeth – not 2 like normal people!! The surgery will cost a minimum of $1,000.

Have I mentioned that my hubby is a Pastor and we don’t have any benefits – not even at my work ’cause I’m only part-time. I gave up benefits 7 years ago when I returned after my 2nd mat leave. 4 maternity leaves later… still no benefits.

I’m burning the candle at both ends with working for the bank, the church, the house, the kids, the hubby, the students, and me… can’t forget me in that equation. Not to mention trying to make time for friends and other family members. It’s all a bit much these days!
