I was watching a news telecast today about a 4 year old boy whose toe got caught at the base of an escalator. They blame it on his Crocs. Read the story HERE.
This just reminds me of the lady who ordered a coffee at McDonald’s and in driving away, put the hot cup of coffee between her legs and sued McDonald’s for their coffee burning her legs. Ummmm yeah! Who is responsible for putting HOT coffee between their legs while driving? She actually won her law suit!! Now all cups have a warning on them just in case the rest of us didn’t know that HOT coffee comes HOT!!
So this mom says she doesn’t want to sue the Crocs company but wants to get the word out there that there is a hidden danger in wearing them. Ummmm who is responsible to help a FOUR year old get on and off an escalator?? They are a soft soled shoe much like a flip-flop, it’s no steal-toed boot!! News flash… if you do not pick up your feet at the bottom… they will get hurt! Do we ban all dangerous escalators next? Everything else is getting banned these days. It seems that no one wants to take responsibility for their own lives and their own mistakes.
I burned myself on my iron the other day while curling my hair. Watch out Conair… I might just blame you for that!!!
Please… what’s wrong with the world today!
no coments yet!!!
people in the states like to sue alot! not sure about Canada though.
But it is never your own fault when you are upset!!! My baby is hurt I want to know why and calm down then I look into what i could of done to avoid it again.
Atleast I hope thats what i would do and you can print this coment now if needed lol
Amen sister! Stumbled across your blog and agree with you 100%. When did responsibility go out the window? I am still letting my 2year old wear his crocs- I guess its kinda crazy and maybe I might be reported!
