I’ve been consumed with Facebook lately. It’s an amazing tool of communication. We still don’t have a main computer but my hubby’s work laptop is coming in handy…
I’ve found old friends that I thought I’d never ever speak with ever again – because of distance – I am 5,000 klm away from the place I was born and raised! I’ve found friends I haven’t spoken with in nearly 20 years. I’ve reconnected with old friends that I thought would never speak with me again… because of personal distance and not mileage… It really has been a bridge!
Well, here we are in June and the school year is almost done. I don’t know what we’re going to do with the kids this summer. There are so many programs they could go into but I’m still working during the day, it’s increased 6 hours a week to a total of 26 hrs a week. Which may not seem like a lot to you but it’s 26 hours too much for me. We’ve set a goal – a deadline. When the carpet is installed – throughout the house – I will be home with my children and at the church full-time where I belong. It has been a heavy weight on me over the last few weeks, actually ever since we returned from our training seminars in May…
We’ve had an incredible time in church since then. There’s a brightening moment that has happened. It’s hard to describe – an excitement. Something big is about to happen.
This past Sunday we had a combined service with another church from a few cities over followed by a BBQ. It was an incredible time. Two weeks prior to that we saw many breakthroughs – this week it was hearing – holdfast! My hubby has been preaching good – I’m not biased and I’m not just saying that to impress him so he’ll buy me something…. although if that’s what happens… ;-0 hahaha Yesterday he preached on Hebrews 10:23 and I shared a vision that God had given me for the other congregation. We had another fabulous time with another fabulous church! God is knitting the churches together! That’s the way He wants it!!
I love my church – and that means the people! Church is not a building, organization, event or something to do once in a while! It’s a lifestyle and it’s one I’m excited about living and about raising my children to live. They will go farther than us and do more things that we could only imagine.
WOO WOO – all aboard! It’s going to be a wild ride!!
I can see how Facebook could easily consume me oh so soon! Its too easy & fun!
And OMGosh! We are finishing up Hebrews. I have always had such a hard time understanding that book. Not this time. God shows us things when we are ready. I’M READY!!! 😉
Facebook consumes me too but enough is enough. I have finally slowed down. The first few months I reconnected with old friends multiple times per day and I am going to the movies Saturday night with an old friend as well as having a playdate with a Christian friend from grade 3!
It is an awesome tool!
I’ve reconnected with old friends as well and enjoy catching up on what is new. I reconnected with someone that moved far away 20 years ago…but between working full time, church, and family…my time on it is limited.
I am excited for you guys and the church
woot woot
