Four of us ladies met at my friend’s place last night to pray for my sister Lala and her hubby J. It was an awesome night! Thanks JW for suggesting it. You are an amazing woman of God.

JW and I fasted during the day – I have to admit it was difficult. Especially since I had a dentist appointment after work during which I was in the chair with my mouth wide open and all these drills and suction things going on for an hour. I was dizzy leaving his office. I didn’t think I was going to be able to drive home. When I finally did get home, I opened the door – walked in – took off my coat and realized that I had forgotten to go to the Redhead’s Zoo and pick up Jake! Good thing she’s so giving! She kept him until we had to take Em’s to ballet 45 minutes later. It was a bit of a rushing around day – not one I’d recommend on a day of prayer and fasting.

Redhead Momma and one of JW’s friends joined us for prayer. We visited, caught up, reminisced, had tea and prayed. Like I said before it was a good night, I didn’t get home until after 11:30pm. Praying with a group of ladies is a powerful thing. I know I will join them for a night of prayer again.

We prayed against fear, for a refreshing and for faith to arise in both of them. God gave us a few Scripture verses for them and specific areas to pray for and over. I have to write it all down and send it to La. Psalm 55:22a says, “Cast your burden on the Lord (releasing the weight of it) and He will sustain you;” The Message puts it this way, “Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders — He’ll carry your load, He’ll help you out.” To say this is one thing but to actually know how to do it is another, I know I have struggled with it myself.

We will continue to pray for their family. I know the power that is within La. I have seen her “in action”. I know she has seen miracles and has experienced them for herself. I know she knows that God is a good God who heals. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. There’s lots that was accomplished in the Spirit realm last night! Things I have to share with just her.
