I love cheering on people doing good in the world! 📣 I’m a Wife. Mom. Grandma. Friend. 🇨🇦

Jumped out of Canada and landed in paradise. 🏝️

10/10, no notes!
We planned this trip for over a year, and now here We planned this trip for over a year, and now here we are, all ten of us, together for the next 2 weeks!

After a few intense years of stretching, growth, and grit, this isn’t just a vacation, it’s a victory tour. A celebration of resilience, answered prayers, and grace that held.

This season feels like a deep exhale.
A holy reset.
A fulfillment of promise.
And we don’t take any of it for granted.

Safe to say, mission accomplished. He was shocked. Totally worth the overnight flight and zero sleep.
My Grandsons…. 😂

First born: ‘Is it safe?’
Second born: already mid-air ‘Too late now!’ ❤️

My heart could burst. 💛 Please help me congrat My heart could burst. 💛

Please help me congratulate my oldest, Quinton, who just got his B.Ed and is officially an Ontario Elementary School Teacher! This fall, he starts at a school in Kitchener, after years of hard work.

While attending school full-time for the last two years at Redeemer University in Hamilton (commuting over an hour each way, every day), Quinton also worked two jobs, was a devoted church member, husband, and poured his heart into being a present and playful father to their two little boys. It wasn’t easy, but he never gave up.

You did it, Quinton! You pushed through, you persevered.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it! 🙌
Last night we celebrated two incredible humans: Ha Last night we celebrated two incredible humans: Hailey Bailey and Bubba.

Hailey is the 3rd child of my youngest sister. Carson is the 3rd of my oldest. And while they come from opposite ends of the family tree—they’ve got more in common than giving their moms their fair share of grey hairs growing up!

Different branches of the tree—same roots. Loyal. Kind. Hardworking. Strong-willed in the very best of ways.

They live out the heartbeat of our family motto: “faithful through adversity”. When life pushes hard, they dig in harder. They show up. They endure. They keep going.

Hailey, 25 looks good on you. You have a special way of making people feel seen. You are compassionate, nurturing (Blake’s lucky to have you), and just the right amount of spicy. 🌶️

Carson, you make 38 look easy. Steady, reliable, and a good dad. You show up, get it done, and make us laugh. You’re a solid presence in our lives.

Two “3rd kids”, showing us what it looks like to be faithful, resilient, and loved BIG MUCH. I am proud of you both. 😘 Happy Birthday!!

Nine years without my dad, and yet he’s still ev Nine years without my dad, and yet he’s still everywhere. In the way we laugh, in the way we show up for people, and in the odd little tricks he left us with. He taught us how to play the bagpipes—with our nose and throat. How to magically take our fingers off and on. How to become a puppet with the edge of a mirror.

He had a rule for design: always think in thirds. A rule for ice cream: bite it, don’t lick it. And a rule for road trips: always keep a stash of trail mix under the seat. He could turn an RV into a rolling tour experience and would start laughing at a joke before he even finished telling it.

He found joy in the little things and made sure everyone around him did too. His humour, adventure, and generosity live on.

What did he teach you?

Belong. Believe. Behave: Why Faith Starts With Bel Belong. Believe. Behave: Why Faith Starts With Belonging

Before Christmas, I had the privilege of speaking at a women’s event at Peace Portal Church, sharing a portion of this message that has deeply shaped my faith: Belong. Believe. Behave.

For too long, we’ve believed that we must fix ourselves before God will accept us, but Scripture reveals the opposite—belonging comes first. When we know we are welcomed and loved by God, belief follows naturally, and transformation flows from that foundation. In my recent blog post, I unpack how belonging shapes faith, belief grows from love, and true change starts from the inside out. Whether you’ve ever felt like an outsider in faith or want to create spaces of belonging for others, this message is for you.

Please read the full post on my blog; link is also in my bio: https://www.shasherslife.ca/2025/02/belong-believe-behave-faith-journey.html

Just as my Year of Open Doors was coming to a clos Just as my Year of Open Doors was coming to a close, an unexpected opportunity unfolded at CanIL (Canada Institute of Linguistics). Six months later, I’m honoured to step into the role of VP of Development. With my first fundraising campaign achieving historic success and preparations underway for a capital campaign, I’m embracing the fullness of what’s ahead.

This milestone reflects perseverance, faith, and the power of trusting in divine timing. A culmination of all my past experiences leading to new opportunities, “Grace upon Grace.” 🙌
Happy 58th to my husband, David—a man after God’s own heart.

You embody qualities that don’t just stand out; they leave a legacy:
Humble. Reverent. Respectful. Trusting. Understanding. Loving. Devoted. Faithful. Obedient. Repentant.

Your heart is deeply anchored in faith, with a strength that comes from trusting God at every turn. You love His Word, live with gratitude, and pursue His will with determination. You’re bold when it matters, tender when it counts, and always steadfast in your purpose.

You don’t just talk about faith—you live it. That makes you more than a great husband. It makes you an incredible father, a guide to many, and a role model who inspires us all.

Babe, you are one of a kind, and we’re all better because of you.

Happy Birthday!

My Prophetic Prayer for 2025 🙏 Heavenly Father My Prophetic Prayer for 2025 🙏

Heavenly Father,

As we enter 2025, I believe You are speaking a powerful truth over us: Grace upon grace (John 1:16). In a world that feels hurried and heavy, this is the year to pause, to redirect, and to stand firm on the incredible grace and promises You have placed on our lives.

You are calling us to stir up the gifts of the Spirit, just as Paul reminded Timothy to fan into flame the gift of God (2 Timothy 1:6-7). We ask for an awakening of the supernatural—faith, healing, wisdom, prophecy—flowing through us by Your Spirit, not by our strength, because “the Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing” (John 6:63).

We pray for the natural to reflect the stirring in the supernatural. Let answered prayers, breakthroughs, and miracles overflow like rivers of living water (John 7:38). Let this be a year of outpouring in the dry places—streams in the desert (Isaiah 35:6)—bringing healing, provision, restoration, and renewal in ways only You can.

Lord, this is a time to stand firm in Your grace, to trust Your promises, and to expect Your faithfulness to move in ways we cannot imagine. We believe You are making all things new, calling us to walk in step with Your Spirit and to experience Your abundance overflowing in every area of our lives.

We thank You for Your grace that sustains us and Your promises that never fail.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas from the Mischuk clan! 🎄 This Merry Christmas from the Mischuk clan! 🎄

This year has been one of miracles, milestones, and faith-filled new beginnings. Both Dave and I stepped into new roles that feel like divine appointments—Dave as the Pastor of Seniors at Peace Portal Church and me as the VP of Development at CanIL. These opportunities have been a testament to the beauty of following where we’re led and seeing the pieces fall into place.

As a family, we’ve celebrated the joy of connection—whether through epic travels across the world, summer days at Sand Lake, weekends in Calgary… moments spent with our growing family. My grandsons remind us daily of life’s simplest and greatest gifts.

To our friends and family, near and far: thank you for walking this journey with us. This season, we pray your home is filled with peace, joy, and the kind of hope that sustains and inspires. Here’s to the promise of new chapters in the year to come.

Merry Christmas, from our hearts to yours. ❤️
