I am not getting a lot accomplished today! I had such great expectations…
I thought I’d send the older 3 outside to play in the snow (more like get out of my hair) so that I could get some things done while the baby (6 months old the other day!!) slept. It took me a while to get the kiddios dressed in their Arctic gear and just when I got them out the front door…. the baby woke up screaming. Great!
I quickly closed the front door, not noticing that my 3 year old (Mr. Silly) wanted back inside. He was moving like a frozen robot, with a constant stream of snot running from his nose. It is cold outside!
It looked so beautiful out. The sun is shining, the sky is blue…. I should have looked at the temperature. It’s -13 C but with the wind it is actually more like -22 C. That’s 7.6 Fahrenheit for all you “old school” types reading this. (FYI, half way through my childhood education our Country switched from Imperial to Metric, I use both measurements now)
So the kids can’t play outside, the snow isn’t snow anymore, it’s hard ice. Not fun to slide down on. I have to put them to work inside the house now… “Who wants to do the toilets??!!” I can hear them running to help now. Yah, right!
I’m not sure if I should ask if you survived a cold day with all your kids or did your kids survive with you?

That sounds just like my interesting day while sean cleaned and I hung in for dear life yesterday with children who didn’t want to leave my side, it was weird but calming eventually, feeling ten times better almost

Come on, this is CANADA!!! We play in all weather!!!
my kids have been playing on the trampoline till it is pitch dark out….after all the rain we have had in BC the cold and clear sky is welcome anytime!!
