Today was a wonderful day at church – I love my church! We sang some new songs – they were awesome songs. My hubby preached a great message and then we ate cake. I like cake!
13 years ago this weekend my hubby planted the church. They met (I didn’t know him then) in the University bar on Sunday afternoons for the first bit. Then onto Sunday mornings at a community centre, then onto Sunday mornings and evenings in a loft style building above a book store (I married him shortly after the move here), then onto a second floor abandoned bar (which was gross to clean!) to our current location.
In the summer of 2004 we bought an Ambulance headquarters and renovated it, the bays are our sanctuary and the Sunday school rooms were once the sleeping / office area. You’ve come A LONG WAY BABY!!! Since we moved into our new building something amazing has happened. We’ve seen such incredible growth in peoples lives and in numbers. God is building the church and adding to it on a daily basis.
Thank you to those who have stuck with us through the years (it hasn’t been easy) and for all those who keep finding us. Thank you Lord!
It has been 11 years for us this year!! Wow, how time sure flies. We haven’t found it too (sarcasm) hard to stay and stick it out!!
I think our church has come such a long way and we have actually only moved a “smidgeon” (nice word, huh?) We have so much further to go and I sure do look forward to moving further with my family!!
hey Shash glad you had a good Easter…. I love you and miss you even more on holidays but look forward to seeing you soon!!!
thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving the kind and encouraging words. it has been a lot to go through, but please pray that i will allow God’s love, joy and peace to shine thru, even during the valleys of life.

Say hello to everyone at your church for my hubby and I. We miss being with you guys. Your church was so inviting and friendly. Not to brag or anything but your Hubby does some good preaching – teaching too!
