I woke up to very loud and bored children who were fighting non-stop with each other. Today is going to be a fun day I was thinking to myself.
At 11am I announced I was getting out of here – trying to keep them from fighting and to be quiet so as not to disturb my father-in-law has reached the point of no return. It’s nearly 1pm and I’m still here… and they’re still fighting. It must be a full moon!
I’ll be gone for a few days – this should allow my hubby to work on the basement undisturbed and I won’t be so stressed out yelling at the kids to get off of dad’s floor or to be quiet. This too shall pass…. right?!

When my kids were young (they are adults now) every summer I would pack them up and leave for the day to do something, even if it was to hang out at the beach for the day, just so I wouldn’t have to deal with the bickering all day. The best thing was that my little basement apartment that we lived in stayed clean because we weren’t home. AAaaaahhhh I miss those days!
