It’s good to be home! To sleep in my own bed! Have a bath in my own bathtub! Watch my own TV! And last but not least…. be able to update my own blog!

Don’t get me wrong, camping last week was awesome. The weather was great for the most part, it rained on us the first night and day we were there. Raindrops on an aluminum roof (our motorhome) all through the night leaves one (me) very tired in the morning…

Almost each night we had a campfire; I ate too many smores the first one and couldn’t touch another marshmellow for the rest of the week! It was very relaxing to sit around the flames and stare up into the sky and try to count the stars. During the day we’d visit the beach (Mary Lake) or go shopping in the little Muskoka towns which lined the lakes around us. It was cooler than I would have liked – a couple of nights I had to have the furnace on.

One morning we were up early enough to see fog over the lake, I wish I had had my camera on me at that moment. A few of the trees started changing colour and with the mist over the water…. a perfect postcard photo!

So now we’re home and I have lots of laundry to do. Fun part of camping! The boys had a bath last night and the ring around the tub was at least 4 inches thick!! I think they took part of the beach home with them in their ears alone!!

I’ll share pictures and more stories about what we did with you soon. There’s so much to talk about!! It’s just good to be back home.
