Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, do you have big plans? I wonder if this is why God put it on my heart to share with the men in our church how HE wants them to treat HIS daughters?

I was watching the movie, “Kate and Leopold” last week, I love this movie. It is so romantic. He is so romantic. Why do we women swoon when we see flicks like this? What causes our hearts to go pitter patter when we watch on the big screen a man open a door for a women or sends her flowers to her work or the other romantic sappy stuff? I don’t believe we girls have been brain-washed either, the “Knight is Shining Armor” dreams we had as children aren’t a result of too much Disney. I believe it’s a God thing.

In digging through Song of Solomon, Psalms, Proverbs, Ephesians, 1 Corinthians 13… they all lay a pattern for relationships that is God-breathed. The whole Book is one big love lesson from beginning to end. Where did we go wrong? (I have my theories…)

I don’t think it’s wrong to want to be treated like a princess – it’s not just for our little girls’ dreams. We need to teach our boys how to treat girls properly and we need to teach our girls what to look for in a man. It’s not about their occupation, bank account, or their family line but about their revelation of God’s idea for relationships.

    Thanks!

  2. Ha! You’re back in blogland! Thanks for stopping by. :~D

I agree with you here. Women’s needs for romance and tenderness in marriage is definitely of God.

Happy Valentine’s Day–to both of you.
