Last week while I was sitting in Starbuck’s chatting with a co-op student from my work, an interesting gentleman sat in our circle of chairs. He began to listen in on our conversation. While we discussed Gender Intelligence, the rapid growth of Social Media and the differences between men and women in general… he asked if he could interject.
I thought he was a counselor or Professor of sorts with his vast knowledge of the inner workings of the brain in which he explained the differences between males and females, Serotonin, love & relationships, etc. It was all very fascinating!
The co-op student left and for the following 1.5 hours, the two of us talked about family, life, business, spirituality, today’s society and charity work to name a few topics.
It was about half way through our conversation when he told me that he was an actor – I thought he looked familiar! Daniel Fathers, internationally recognized star of Disney’s, “Camp Rock” & “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam”. He played, “Uncle Brown Cesario” – the uncle to the Jonas brothers.
You have to understand, it’s not unlike me to sit & chat with a celebrity and not realize who they were or at least to not get all starry-eyed. I sat next to Natasha Henstridge on a flight from LA to Toronto – we talked about our kids the entire trip. I was wondering why hubby was drooling… Same thing happened with Mira Sorvina. I did recognize Mekhi Phifer after I bumped into him, literally, in the aisle on a flight from LA to Chicago. Being from Vancouver – better known as “Hollywood North” – I’ve socialized with my fair share of those in the entertainment industry over the years.
Yesterday, I dragged my hubby out with me to meet up for coffee with Daniel again. Those two are actually very much alike in a lot of ways. They both love the rugged outdoors and they love to help people. As it turns out… while Daniel is here visiting family for Christmas… he’s wanting to help support our local Food Bank.
WHY IS HE DOING THIS?!
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?!
BRING non-perishable food items, gift cards & toys for the one-of-a-kind Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank! Check out their most needed items listed on their website.
On another note… Daniel just got his Twitter account back from a faker, send him some Twitter-luv! @danielfathers
I hope it's OK if I help spread the word through the http://pictureontario.ca/blog/ blog

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
