We spent New Year’s Eve at my parent’s restaurant, The Roadhouse Grille in White Rock, BC. Because we’re all getting old… no comment… we watched the ball drop in New York City. So at 9pm PST… we brought in the New Year. It was actually nice to do it early!

I’d like to officially say, “Happy 2011” to all of you!
Thanks for making my 2010 so very exciting – it definitely had more ups and downs then any other year – hands down!
I read a statement from T.D. Jakes at the end of 2009. He stated that he felt 2010 would be, “A Year of Double Portion!” I liked the sound of that and so I asked God for that in our lives and in our ministry. By the time the summer rolled around, I was beginning to think this meant double the trouble from the way the 1st half of the year was going.
Then the other day, I found another New Year’s statement that I had pulled last year for 2010 (and forgotten about) BUT had prayed into our lives. In it, the author shares that she felt that, “God wants to remove negative, hurtful relationships, character flaws and destructive thought patterns from our lives.” In 2010, God will test the issues of the heart and would reveal who we could make true godly alignments with. The statement went on to say that God would weed out the “destiny thieves” (Ps. 48:7) – those in our midst who would try to destroy what God has called us to be and do.
WOW!
Looking back now on what went on in the first half of the year, it all makes sense & had purpose!
God promised to be our Provider and our Protector early on in our ministry and He, once again, proved He is able!
In looking back at 2010, on a personal level, I saw my blog readership double, along with being able to do reviews and giveaways too. Another exciting thing I got to experience, my income from my Social Media job doubled. We got to spend double the amount of time with our kids on vacation then we usually do. As far as our ministry… we saw double the people come to Christ and get baptized from the year before and we saw our church budget double in 2010. It was truly a year of double portion!
I’m excited to see what this year has to bring!
Sounds like 2010 was a great year and that you started off 2011 in a great way. With family.
I just added your blog site to my blogroll, I pray you would give some thought to doing the same.
