Last week hubby and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. Yes, you can cheer and congratulate us! Fifteen years seems to be an anomaly these days.
Sometimes I need to pinch myself, I can’t even believe it’s been that long. Since this picture was taken May 11, 1996; Dave’s mom has passed away {Oct 7/05}, my dad has gone white and Dave and I have put on a few happy marriage pounds. Not to mention the four kids we’ve added to our crew.
With the issues going on right now surrounding his dad {far right in this photo} and his health and the enormous emotional and physical stress & strain this household has been under… we didn’t get to go out on our date as planned. We could use your prayers, the last month + have been difficult in every sense of the word. The doctors can’t figure out what is causing dad’s breathing difficulties, he is now on oxygen 24/7. The constant hum of his tank fills the house with an eerie sound. We’re so not ready for him to be with Jesus!

Another battle that we’ve been going through this week is finding a new “forever home” for our 15 month old Beagle / Pug X. Our home has always been Grand Central Station, but lately… our life is even more crazier than we can manage. This little pup needs more than we can offer. He has a few bad habits that keep bringing him back, two families this weekend alone! My kid’s hearts have been broken enough over the past year…
On a happier note… we leave tomorrow for our family vacation in Disney World!! We surprised our kids with the news on Easter Sunday, remember?! On top of that… our only daughter turns ELEVEN tomorrow! She gets to celebrate it by spending the day in a car driving to Detroit. 🙂 Yes, we’re leaving from the US. Flights from Toronto, Canada to Orlando, Florida were at least quadrupole the cost.
Sorry I haven’t blogged that much. I’ve been relying on Twitter to keep in touch. I hope you’ve enjoyed the few giveaways I’ve had, the Wordless Wednesdays {which are never usually wordless with me} and of course, my new favourite… my Feature Friday treat, Canadian style.
I hope to be back in full swing as I rejuvenate in sunny Florida. Mickey has a way of cheering people up!
I have a feeling you will come back rejuvinated..thinking of you and your family
I'm not ready for that ether…it's so hard to see your Daddy In Law/My Grandpa looking like he does now. Have a safe, wonderful, and very exciting trip!!!
Sending you my love and prayers hun.
Happy Belated Anniversary!
Happy Early Birthday to your beautiful daughter!
Have a FANTASTIC trip!!
And when you come back, I'll almost be in KW 😀
Oh, my. That is quite the ordeal. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
On a lighter note, congratulations on your 15th anniversary. That does seem like an anomaly. Hopefully, this year will be a better year. Hope you have a fabulous trip to Disney World!
Keeping you in my prayers! Hope your vacation is wonderful, and everything that you are needing right now.
aaaahhh….if I lived closer, I'd be scooping that cute little puppy up. my kids would adore him (Dh would prob. kill me, but they'd be happy)
