I have never been a fan of Monday mornings, the weekend never feels long enough. It probably has to do with the fact that we only have Saturday as a “day off”. Sundays are full from sun up to sun down with Church. Mondays…. grrrrrrr!
Today is different than the last 1,800 or so Mondays.
Today I woke up and didn’t join the usual Monday morning work meeting.
Today it is setting in that the fork-in-the-road, big decision, that I talked about in “Change is Good… right?!” has happened.
I took the bull by the horns and didn’t allow fear to be the cement shoes to my goals. Last month I resigned as Social Media Director at the Marketing company I helped launch 36 months ago.
Today I can do whatever I want.
Today I updated my Linked-in profile… and now I think I’ll crawl back under the covers for another dream or two.
Today I am thankful it’s not another Manic Monday.
I can’t get that song out of my head now… I’m such a child of the 80’s!!
Congrats! Very happy for you.
🙂
Shannon, I noticed you in the Blissdom stream – I'll be attending again this year – I'll be easy to spot. I'm looking forward to reading more of you before Nashville. Anyway, all I can say about today's post is brave, strong, well-chosen, and more than just a little bit scary I bet. I hope you enjoy your ♫♬ "I don't have to run day" ♫♬ God bless and keep you and all of yours.
Ummm you can babysit and let me sleep under warm covers if you really need something to do on a monday morning.
