P!nk pulls out all the stops during her, “The Truth about Love Tour which hit two Canadian cities back-to-back, Toronto and Montreal this month!  According to her tour schedule, she’ll hit Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and again Toronto & Montreal later this year.

As part of the #PGmom program, COVERGIRL {sponsor of the tour}, my daughter and I won tickets to see her SOLD OUT show in Toronto on March 11th.

We were also able to give away 2 tickets. Emma’s job was to pick the winner. During the contest, a friend of Emma’s entered. It would have been easy for her to pick her BFF… what almost 13 year
old wouldn’t want to take their friend with them to see P!nk?! She knew she had a hard decision to make. But she chose Julie, from Sober Julie Doing Life, because of her persistence and willingness to go above and beyond in order to get those tickets. She caught Emma’s attention, big time!

I shared Emma’s tough decision moment – the next thing I knew… COVERGIRL was giving me 2 more tickets. Emma could now take two of her friends!! 🙂 I am pretty sure I won the, “Coolest Mom of the Year” award!!

As soon as we entered the ACC, we headed to the VIP Lounge for hours of free food and drinks with other VIP reps from P&G, COVERGIRL, fashion magazine reps, and a couple bloggers and their entourage. There were a lot of pretty people in that room!

Shortly after arriving, Emma and I, Jeannine from My Bits and Bleeps and her daughter and a handful of other reps were brought down the hall. We lined up in a straight row with our backs to the wall, waiting to meet P!nk. When she came around the corner, the room was so quiet she commented, “This is the quietest group ever.” I replied, “Welcome to Canada!” 🙂

Each one of us politely introduced ourselves, shook her hand and then posed with her for a photo. I learned afterwards that Emma wanted a picture alone with her, I guess a picture with P!nk and your mom, isn’t as cool?…  Emma whispers to me, “Don’t be embarrassing” and of course I had to repeat it OUT LOUD. P!nk chimed into our conversation, “It’s going to be my job to embarrass my daughter.” We talked for a bit, while she was signing poster pictures for us, about kids growing up too fast and then our time with her was done.

I’ll share the picture with you as soon as P&G sends it to me.

The concert began at 9pm with “Raise your Glass,” the packed out venue let out a roar. There was wall-to-wall excitement. Everywhere I looked, people were singing along, smiling and having a great time. Everyone was fully engaged with what was happening on and above that elaborate stage. The lights were BRIGHT, the sound was AMAZING! The 9 video-screens at the back of the stage (and 2 at the sides) were colourful and continually changed images, helping her tell her story.

She blew me away with my favourite song, “So What.” During this encore performance, she flew over the crowd like Tinker Bell, it was absolutely a show-stopper and a full on mind-blowing moment!!

Spending just about as much time in the air as she did on the stage, P!nk finished off the evening with “Glitter in the Air.” It was an elegant way to end the evening, which by that point, had been an incredible display of lighting, acoustics and almost as many acrobatic moves as the last Cirque show I saw in Vegas.

It was a beautiful performance!

P!nk {Alecia Beth Moore} is one of Pop’s most powerful vocalists around! I loved
every single minute of this concert, she has an amazing voice and a
commanding stage presence. She is an incredible performer!! She impressed me at every turn, including choosing not using certain explicit words which are in a few of her songs. It was a family-friendly concert with a lot of mom-daughter duos there! 🙂

Thank you Pink, COVERGIRL and P&G for giving my daughter and I an experience we will never forget!
